I'm so happy to be sharing this conversation with Bari Tessler. Bari's book, The Art of Money: A Life-Changing Guide to Financial Happiness has a new companion book called The Art of Money Workbook. There's just so much depth in the work that Bari teaches in her money relationship-transformational workshops and books. And, today she's talking about the different models inside her business, how her new book came to be and so much more. Enjoy.
Bari Tessler, M.A., is a financial therapist, author, and founder of The Art of Money, a year-long money school. She earned a Masters in Somatic Psychology from Naropa University, working in the mental health field for over a decade before realizing her mission was to merge emotional literacy with financial literacy.
In 2001 she created a financial therapy methodology that integrates practical financial tools with a nurturing, body-centered approach. Here work weaves together personal, couple, and creative entrepreneurial money teachings into one complete tapestry. For two decades now, she has guided thousands of people into more authentic, empowered relationships with money.
Her work has been featured on Oprah.com, Inc.com, The Cut, Reuters Money, USA Today, Nerd Wallet, RealSimple, MindBodyGreen and REDBOOK. She has also been featured on the cover of Experience Life Magazine and Mindful Magazine.
Bari is also the Author of The Art of Money: A Life-Changing Guide to Financial Happiness and The Art of Money Workbook.
A self-identified bookworm and passionate lover of dark chocolate, Bari is equal parts advisor, therapist, and money-savvy best friend. She can often be found hiking the mountain trails in Boulder, Colorado, where she lives with her husband, son, and their multitude of cats.
