Today I am so pleased to bring you a conversation with my friend Michael Roderick. Michael has an incredible history in learning what it takes to create actionable, inspiring thoughts that turn into future connections, networking, business opportunities and so much more. He went from being a teacher to a broadway producer and he used these same strategies which he started to reverse-engineer implement in his business and I know you're gonna take a lot from this conversation. Enjoy...
Michael Roderick is the CEO of Small Pond Enterprises which helps thoughtful givers become thought leaders by making their brands referable, their messaging memorable, and their ideas unforgettable. He is also the host of the podcast Access to Anyone which shows how you can get to know anyone you want in business and in life using time-tested relationship-building principles. Michael's unique methodology comes from his own experience of going from being a Highschool English teacher to a Broadway Producer in under two years.
He said that if you want your business to at least do one of
these three things - Ideally, all three, otherwise, you will be
sad; and that is:
solve the problem; alleviate pain; or decrease friction. So if your business is in solving a problem, helping somebody get rid of their pain, or making something that normally takes a long time, take a short period of time, then it's probably nice to have is opposed to what we need have.
Michael is talking about transforming your referability and I can't say enough about this wonderful conversation that I am sure is going to inspire you like it has me.
