Mindful Millionaire with Leisa Peterson

Oct 19, 2021

Today, I am interviewing Rachel Richards who runs a website called Money Honey Rachel. She’s on a mission to empower female millennials to take control of their financial future.

At the age of 27, Rachel quit her job as a result of creating enough passive income to allow her to retire.

In our conversation, Rachel is sharing how she used real estate and self-publishing books to create her passive income streams and the many things that she’s learned along the way.

In Rachel’s own words: “I had those Facebook groups. I had these people that were emotionally invested in the success of my book. And when it came time for me to launch it, they were already willing to buy it and promote it and review it. So it was like, I have that in place. So that was one of the reasons it did so well, right off the back. So that’s one of the things, add value first, sell something later. And it’s not just that I did that with self-publishing Money Honey, I do that everywhere. I do that on my Instagram and all my TikTok. I mean, if you go to my Instagram posts or if you look at my TikTok video, I’m just educating people and adding value or trying to make them laugh… And then the other thing that I think works well is just speaking to people on an emotional level. And, just being really vulnerable and honest with, who you are and where you’ve been and the struggles that you faced and being a good storyteller.”

Rachel Richards is the bestselling author of “Money Honey” and “Passive Income, Aggressive Retirement.”

She is a former financial advisor and a real estate investor with almost 40 rental units. By making the topic of money management fun, entertaining, and simple, Rachel has helped thousands of millennials work their way out of financial despair.
